Day 1: Arrival in Moncarapacho, Faro (20 km)
Activities: After a relaxing train ride or flight, you'll arrive in Faro. If you have booked the shuttle service in advance, you will even be dropped off at Freek's doorstep. After getting acquainted and a detailed explanation of the campervan the journey can really begin. Drive first past the fishing village of Olhão to travel on to the nearby Ria Formosa Natural Park, famous for its beautiful lagoons where special bird species live, including flamingos. If you are really lucky, you can even spot dolphins here!
Charging tip: Charge the ID. Buzz at Powerdot Charging Station on the Largo de São Francisco, Faro. From here you can easily explore the Ria Formosa while the campervan is charging.
Day 2: Faro and Tavira (30 km)
Activities: Visit Faro, the capital of the Algarve, with its old town and impressive cathedral. Then drive to Tavira, a charming town on the Gilão River, with a rich Moorish history.
Charging tip: In Taviria you will find two MOBI.E Charging Stations. In case you filled up the campervan quite nicely on Day 1, charging may not even be necessary today.
Day 3: From Tavira to Albufeira (80 km)
Activities: Explore the Algarve's beautiful beaches. Stop along the way at Praia da Marinha, famous for its golden cliffs and clear blue sea. End the day in bustling Albufeira.
Charging tip: First drive to the MOBI.E Charging station in Carvoeiro to charge the campervan . Between Carvoeiro and Albufeira are the cliffs of Praia da Marinha.
Day 4: Albufeira to Lagos (60 km)
Activities: Today you drive on to Lagos, a city full of history and quaint streets. Visit Ponta da Piedade, where you can see impressive cliffs and caves.
Charging tip: The ID. Buzz can be charged at the PowerDot Charging Station in Lagos. This location is right on the beach, from here you can also walk to the Ponta da Piedade.
Day 5: Lagos to Sagres (35 km)
Activities: Today's route takes you to the most southwestern point of Europe, Cabo de São Vicente. Experience the rough waves of the Atlantic Ocean here. Sagres is the place for surf lovers and has a relaxed atmosphere.
Charging tip: Charge the campervan at one of two PowerDot chargers. The charging station at N268 also has a supercharger.
Day 6: Sagres to Évora (Via Alentejo) (250 km)
Activities: Leave the coast behind and drive through the tranquil landscapes of the Alentejo. Stop in Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage city with Roman ruins and a magnificent cathedral.
Loading tip: This ride is longer than the previous rides. Load up one more time in Lagos or Portimao before driving towards Évora. Along the way, you can still stop at IONITY at one of the six fast chargers.
Day 7: Évora to Sintra (150 km)
Activities: Drive north to Sintra, known for its palaces and forests. Visit Palácio da Pena and stroll through the gardens of Quinta da Regaleira.
Loading tip: From Évora, it is only about 100 km to the next Powerdot charging station. Since you are already entering the Lisbon region, the number of fast-charging stations nearby is rapidly increasing. From here it is only 70 km to Sintra
Day 8: Sintra to Cascais (20 km)
Activities: Enjoy a relaxing day in Cascais, a charming coastal town near Lisbon. Take a stroll along the promenade and visit the Boca do Inferna, a spectacular cliff.
Loading tip: Charging will probably not be necessary today. Should you still want to charge? Then there are plenty of MOBI.E and Powerdot Charging Stations nearby.
Day 9: Cascais to Lisbon (30 km)
Activities: Lisbon, a city full of culture, history and atmosphere. Explore the historic districts of Alfama and Bairro Alto, and take a ride on streetcar 28.
Day 10: Lisbon to Moncarapacho (280 km)
Activities: Spend your last day in Lisbon. For example, visit the Belém area with the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and the Torre de Belém. In the late afternoon, drive back to Moncarapacho to return the campervan .
Loading tip: The route from Lisbon to Moncarapacho takes about three hours. Along the way, you can charge at Galp Charging Station on the A2, and at a station at Iberdrola on the way to Moncarapacho.
